High School was so ten years ago...

This past weekend was my husbands 10 year class reunion.  Now he's a grade below me so I've been out now for 11 years but after encountering his and scrolling through embarrassing year book photos I realized how much, yet how little we change in 10 years!

I look back thinking how different I am, but really adulthood has just gotten started!  Just like now my hair always constantly changed.  Check out my ole high school pixies for a blast from the past.

9th Grade...
10th Grade, I had a perm...
Couldn't find 11th grade but here's senior year!
Fast forward 6 years later, and I finally graduated college! haha!

Thanksgiving 30

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- This is my 30th Thanksgiving on earth and it is extra special.  Why is it so special?  Well I have twins on the way DUH!  My sister, brother in law, mom, dad, niece and husband will all be gathered at my mom and dad's house to stuff ourselves with turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes.

I guess I should get to the part about what I am thankful for right?  Well this year I am thankful for so many things, I am thankful for having a sister that cares about me so much she is carrying twins for me!

I am thankful for my entire family and all they do for me; my husband works especially hard to make sure we have a beautiful house, nice motorcycles, and cars and just a good life and I am thankful for his love and commitment to this family.

It's mostly weird this Thanksgiving knowing that next year this time I will have two babies also sitting at the dinner table.

I want to keep this post short and sweet, I just had to write it out that we are over 11 weeks into this pregnancy and I am so, so, so, thankful for these two babies, and my sister, I can't wait to meet them!

That one time I messed up...

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- "That one time" is a loose term.  I have messed up a million and one times.  Honestly I tell my guests on air almost everyday, "Don't worry you will be great, I mess up way more than any guest does."  It's the truth too!

Well a few weeks ago I really messed up and it picked up national attention... Don't worry it wasn't anything too bad...

Let me take you back, it was Halloween weekend so Friday the 30th.  I was dressed as Elvis, (I am a big fan of The King.)  I had this whole plan to spin around in this stool during my tease and do my best Elvis impression.  Well I spun around alright, then I just couldn't keep it together... next thing you know I am giggling my ass off!

I mean I was in a hysterical fit of giggles here, just couldn't stop.  Check out the video and you will understand.

Post Halloween : The Hairspray Hangover

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- My favorite holiday has come and gone in a flash, Halloween.  I spend so much time planning a costume and the makeup and everything and then before I know it, it's November and everything is over and all I am left with is a hairspray hangover, and in this case 100 extra bucks!

So this year I took Halloween to a new level and celebrated two weekends in a row.  The weekend before the spooky holiday I went out to Mega 80's Spooktacular at the Intersection with some friends, little did I know I would be tapped on the shoulder to be part of the costume contest.

I had chosen to wore my most authentic Wonder Woman costume.  Briefs and all.  For me walking around in public in briefs is no big thing I mean come on check out this side by side...

Left- Ferris State Track, Right- Wonder Woman on Halloween...
Kind of see what I mean? Anyway, so I basically threw that on in just because Wonder Woman kicks ass and I didn't have a creepy/scary costume (which I like better normally since it is Halloween) so I figured I mine as well be an ass kicking amazonian...

I went on stage and did my best flexing poses... yes I know I have little to no muscle in my arms, don't judge! haha!

Trying to look like a tough amazonian...
The place was packed and people either thought my ridiculousness was worthy of a prize or they really like Wonder Woman because I took home third place and got 100 bucks!  That definitely made my night!

Fast forward to the following weekend.  Jim and I like to try and match best we can each year so this year I picked Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas.  I did Jim's makeup as you can tell since it's not that good, my pal and makeup artist Erick did mine (he is incredible!)

Jack and Sally
We had a bunch of friends over, passed out candy and then went out to OTooles in Grand Rapids to celebrate.  All in all it was a lot of fun and the 100 bucks from the previous weekend paid for everything!

Sally and a Skeleton... Or Jackie and Chelsie ;)
